Our Story
About
The Monti Tagara Association, based in Sierre, Switzerland, is a family-founded non-profit organization created to support and uplift the Cape Verdean community. Born from the desire of one family to help others, our association has grown into a vibrant network that promotes culture, solidarity, and togetherness. We organize cultural events, social gatherings, workshops, and community initiatives that bring people closer while preserving our Cape Verdean roots.
Mission
Our mission is to empower and support the Cape Verdean community in Switzerland by sharing culture, offering practical support, and creating spaces of unity. What began as a family initiative has become a wider movement, dedicated to helping others through events, education, solidarity projects, and community support.
Vision
Our vision is to build a strong, united, and supportive Cape Verdean community in Switzerland where traditions are celebrated, families feel at home, and everyone has the opportunity to grow together. We believe that by helping one another, just as our founding family set out to do, we strengthen both our identity and our future.
